Take it! Claim your Healing

Winter has arrived in Florida. Some of us are getting a little frost on our tropical plants and some of us have covered plants with sheets and others brought the most delicate ones into our patios and lanai’s. In our home this past Wednesday, we were warm in the Lord and taught about five healing realities that are ours to TAKE. Click here for the complete healing teaching. Those five realities are described further. They are: The Word, Communion, Prayer, New Birth and Gifts of Healing. Remember that we are already healed according to what the Bible says in,

I Peter 2:24, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. AND

Isaiah 53:5

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

When something is said twice, it is established. We are and were healed by the works of Jesus Christ. We are healing and have the power to heal others. Lets get busy, making the healing realities a part of our everyday lives! Check out our page on Preaching, Teaching and Healing page for more teachings.

Grace is the Source of…

Thursday December 14, 2017 Christine taught on Grace. Charis is the Greek word for grace. She shared many forms of charis and their meanings. John 1:17 was our starting verse, For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. She also showed us that grace is the course of many things including salvation, Acts 15:11; believing, Acts 18:27  ; and justification, Romans 3:24. She also described grace and how grace relates to believers. Her teaching is posted on our webpage: Preach, Teach and Heal.

Grace and Truth Came by Jesus Christ

This past week we moved our bible fellowship to Wednesdays. We were missing too many Thursday evenings to other commitments. We gathered around our table and shared again on Grace. This time, a teaching Rick prepared a few years ago, and hadn’t yet taught it. It is uploaded on our Fellowship page, scroll down to the new uploaded teaching. Our evening was filled with the Word and how in John 1:17, It is explained that The law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Rick also taught about how Jesus Christ is not God and how the first part of John 1 explains that. When John wrote this Gospel in about 90 A.D., people were already mistaking the Messiah for God. After fellowship, we made chai lattes, shared sweets and best wishes for the upcoming Holidays. Bless you and keep you as you travel to visit family or family comes to you. Check out our page Teach, Preach and Heal for this teaching and more.

Blog for December 3, 2017 – Grace

This past Sunday, we had an open fellowship at our home. More than 20 believers gathered to hear the Word taught by Rev. Rico Magnelli. He taught on Moving Ahead with Grace. He said that Grace from God is like the air we breath. It is all around us all the time, everywhere! God offers grace to those who believe on Him. God does it out of love for his children, it is not something we work to attain. Rico highlighted three men from the Bible who received Grace from God. The three men were Noah in Genesis 6:5-7; Jesus Christ in Luke 1:30 and 2:40; and Paul in Philippians 3:13 and 14, and I Corinthians 15. Rico said, Grace allows you to move forward in your life, like a gentle breeze moving across your path. We have more to learn about Grace in our Bible Fellowship.

After the teaching, we enjoyed sweet and savory snacks, walking in the garden and sweet fellowship with fellow believers. Here are some pictures from our day together.

Blog for November 15, 2017 – Listening for God’s still small voice

Rick and I spent two weeks this past November, following one of our favorite Fall highways. We drove up to Pennsylvania to a shell show. We made a long days stop at Longwood Gardens, in Kennett Square, PA. Then drove to the Delaware shore to stay at Dewey Beach, DE. After several days we began our drive south along the Outer Banks. Rick posted many pictures from this trip, including two spectacular sunsets. We beach combed, ate plenty of seafood and enjoyed the cooler nights at Cape Hatteras and on Ocracoke Island, NC.

What I wanted to share with all of you is how we found Peace in our hearts on this trip. Many people look for a sign from God to guide them through their life. Instead of seeking a sign, we should listen for God always. Where will we hear his voice?

Watch and listen two the two short videos that accompany this blog. I found God’s voice in the falling rain and at the shore of the beach. Like it says in:

Psalm 23:2b He leadeth me beside the still waters.

Psalm 29:3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.

1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

We find the still small voice of God when we listen, not to the roaring wind or mighty earthquakes, but in the quiet moments.

Blog for November 9, 2017 Our Righteousness

What an evening of delighting in the Word of God. We discussed our Righteousness from God’s perspective. How He sees us as his sons and daughters. God has said in His Word, in Romans 10:10 the with our heart we believe unto righteousness.

Romans 10:10, from the Message Bible says,

10 With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!”

God has made things right. He does not concern himself with our sins. Nor should we, dwell on them and condemn ourselves over and over again. In fact, they are cast as far is the east is from the west as it says in Psalm 103:8-12.

Here again from the Message Bible

8 God is sheer mercy and grace; not easily angered, he’s rich in love.9 He doesn’t endlessly nag and scold, nor hold grudges forever.10 He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, nor pay us back in full for our wrongs.11 As high as heaven is over the earth, so strong is his love to those who fear him.12 And as far as sunrise is from sunset, he has separated us from our sins.

God’s Word always has examples we can follow and learn how to embrace our Righteousness. This teaching followed Abram to Abraham and 25 years of his life. Abram heard the promise from God that he would become the father of many nations. He had to follow God’s promises. Abram decided to follow his own ideas. It took 25 years for Abraham to get it right, give birth to Issac and moved into the promised land.

We need to keep walking with our Father. God gave us two examples of people to walk in their footsteps, Jesus Christ and Abraham. We walk like Abraham, we make mistakes, we move on. God is not looking at our mistake. He gave us righteousness.

Bless you

Blog for October 12, 2017: Our Redemption -We are bought with a price

img_7042

Like a new believer ready to burst forth in blooms, just like this Ixora bouquet.

As we continue in our review of our Identity in Christ, this evening we reviewed our Redemption. Our notes were pretty much in alignment as the teacher, Reverend Tom Knupp was clear and concise in his presentation. In this teaching we learned about two elements to redemption — payment and release.

Rev. Knupp taught this through three themes. First was the Past. God authored the payment and release plan before the foundation of the world. The book of Ruth, where the Red Thread is our kinsman redeemer, from the Hebrew word goel. We needed to look at many Orientalisms and figures of speech to really understand the meaning of the actions of Naomi and Ruth in this book of the Bible. One Greek word stood out in this teaching, huiothesia – adoption. Before God adopted us as his children, we were Not my People. Hosea 2:23; Romans 9:25, 26, and 1 Peter 2:9, 10.

Second was the Present and how Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption. He is our kinsman redeemer. He fulfilled the law, was sinless, and by his shed blood all were redeemed.

Ephesians 1:7 in the Amplified Bible

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and generosity of His gracious favor.

Third is the future. The payment has been received, we now await the release from the bondage of corruption with eternal life. Now that we are his adopted children we are heirs together with Christ. We have been bought with a price and our release from sin has been accomplished.

How shall redeemed brothers and sisters in Christ behave? We should, as it says in

1 Corinthians 6:20

For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirits which are God’s.

Next week we are meeting at the beach!

Blog for Thursday October 5, 2017: A Meal, Songs, and Fellowship

Last Thursday’s fellowship was an Acts 2:46b and Psalms 100:2 Evening.

Acts 2:46b

…and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.

The word meat is from the Greek word trophe, it means nourishment or food. It is a figure of speech – using one word that represents a whole, in this case meat for a meal.

We did! We each brought a dish to pass. Our fellowship has an abundance of accomplished chefs and people who enjoy eating. We enjoyed meat and veggie spaghetti, and stuffed bell peppers for main dishes. We had three side dishes: green salad, sautéed broccoli rabe with garlic, and watermelon rind with red onion, feta with balsamic salad dressing. AND pumpkin pie and Lotus Biscoff cookies for dessert. We heard that left overs were thoroughly enjoyed by those who were not able to attend. No pictures, we didn’t want people drooling on their keyboards. Fellowship around a table, while eating is sweet. We all enjoyed the labor of others, we shared our victories in post hurricane clean-up, and talked about future plans. We prayed for the continued healing and for needs being met for all who were in the path of recent hurricanes Irma, Maria and Nate. God has blessed us with abundance in our lives. We are peaceful, knowing that he will meet all our needs. We SIT and have patience, longsuffering and more… as stated in Galatians 5:22.

We shared God’s Word through songs. Christine led our singing with some of her favorites. She shared some background of the songs. Robin accompanied Do You Know My Jesus with her guitar. She can use more practice (says she, lol). The songs are posted for you. Christine’s Songs

We closed our evening with Psalms 100.

Psalm 100

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.

2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Next Week: Our Identity in Christ: Our Redemption. Join us.

Batt Cave update: Plant material keeps piling up on our curb. No collection day in sight. Rick is reworking his bromeliad placement, and has set up a new area in the front yard.

We added a new dendrobium orchid to our collection. It is in full bloom.
